My fantasy creature
August 8th, 2007 by Marshall in Uncategorized · 3 Comments
Mrs P told us to write a story about the fantasy creature we drew. Here is my writing.
One day, when I was strolling across the muddy bank of a creek full of life, a meteor came speeding towards me. I hid behind a fallen log to dodge the meteor. Dirt raised into the air when it made a hole in the ground. It took about twenty minutes for the dirt to settle. I went to investigate and found an egg stuck to it. I then freed the egg by smashing the meteor into pieces with a five ton hammer. Then somehow the egg hatched and a baby dragon appeared. It was a girl dragon. I named her Ironscale. Her horn was still weak and was protected by a layer of skin. She had golden scales that shone in the sun. Her claws and teeth were white as snow. A puff of smoke appeared when she was trying to breathe fire. Tiny spikes were protecting her by standing on neck, back and tail. She stared at me as if I was an alien. Now she started to wriggle, jumped of my palms and ran off. Soon she came back with two rabbit in her jaws. I smiled and got my hunting knife. Grabbed the rabbits, skinned them then cooked them. I ate one and the dragon ate one.

How Samorost has Helped Me

Samorost helped me with my writing by showing me an example of what kind of picture should be built up inside the reader’s mind when reading a story. It also built up my imagination. That is how Samorost helped me with my writing.

Samorost
June 8th, 2007 by Marshall in Uncategorized · No Comments
Not long ago our class found a computer game called Samorost. The game was ultimate hard but fun. After we played the game Mrs P told us to write a paragraph about the setting. Here is my paragraph:
It was suppose to be a ordinary day, Sammy was watching TV with his dog and eating pears from his backyard. After watching TV, Sammy and his dog went to the window and looked out into space ith his trusty telescope. “Oh no” cried Sammy, there in front of him was an eagle like planet about to smash into his planet. He dashed to his rusty sausage space ship, clambered in and set off. “You aren’t going to smash my planet” shouted Sammy bravely.

About three weeks ago, we had the second session of CSIRO chemistry. It was really fun. We even made our own slime. We first put in some kind of liquid then we added borax and we waited for a while. Soon the mixture turns into slime.
